Emergency Preparedness

Hi Parents,

Our class welcomes any snacks that you want to send in. In case of an emergency situation at our school site, having a snack for each student would be helpful. If you would like to contribute by sending a box of granola bars or crackers, it would be appreciated.

Thank you for your help!

AR Link For Books Available To Read At Each Level

I had a parent request this and found a decent website that provides lots of books that are leveled.

Homework Schedule

kid-homework.jpg

WEEKLY HOMEWORK: PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD TO RETURN EVERYTHING TO HIS/HER BACKPACK NIGHTLY SO THEY ALWAYS HAVE their AR book THE NEXT DAY IN SCHOOL.

Your child HAS A BLUE Valencia folder to bring home on Monday. It is not due until FRIDAY. However, ALL MATH PAGES should be done and returned the next day so we can correct them in class. That way we can go over the answers and students can ask questions.

This week:

Monday through Friday: (March 6-10)

• Read for 1/2 per night from an AR book. As soon as they finish, I will let them take an AR test in class.

• Practice Vocabulary words for a test Friday.

• Math pages are on M, W, and TH which are returned the following day to be corrected with the class.

Look over directions for the End Of The Year Project. Please help your child find information about their topic. Please copy off some website information so they can take notes from the information and begin to write their report in class.

You may also begin your 3-D model of your project if you would like to begin working on it at home. You can be as simple or extravagant as you want. It should have a MAXIMUM BASE SIZE OF 1 FOOT BY 2 FEET so it can be displayed on your student's desk on OPEN HOUSE Night along with his/her report folder.

Study the multiplication tables, or the division facts if you are currently doing this.

LIBRARY IS every FRIDAY!

We will check out 2 AR books to read during the week. This is when we will begin our required reading at home of 30 minutes per night so that we can keep up with our reading goals we have set for each month.

PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD LEAVE THEIR LIBRARY BOOK IN THEIR BACKPACK EACH NIGHT SO THAT NO ONE FORGETS TO BRING THE LIBRARY BOOK BACK EACH WEEK ON FRIDAY.

Thanks parents.

Behind every good student are great parents!!!
