Field Trip Chaperones

*If you are planning to chaperone on a field trip, please visit the office and pick up the required forms and leave a copy of your driver's license and car insurance.  This information needs to be turned in at least 15 days before a field trip so it can be processed in time.

*Homework, 100 Book Challenge packets, and library books are due back on Fridays!

*Read every night!  Daily practice helps your child become a more fluent reader.

*Keep your "Sight Word" flashcards at home in a safe place and practice each week.  These weekly sight words are important    because they appear frequently in the books your child will be reading.

Having Tons of Fun In Room 31!

Our Learning Is Never Done in Room 31!

Math: In our math unit, we have been exploring 3 dimensional shapes and addition/subtraction strategies.

Writing: We are becoming fabulous writers in our Writer's Workshop each day!  We are learning how to create "delicious" writing by adding many details to our writing pieces.

Language Arts: We are continuing to work on our reading foundational skills during Language Arts Centers and applying these skills in our daily reading practice.  In addition, we are working on our reading comprehension strategies.

Science:  We are learning all about Life Cycles (ladybugs, caterpillars, and frogs) and our Earth.  We will be moving into our next unit which will cover animal adaptations under the sea!

*Come in and see our fantastic creatures we have visiting our classroom!

We Are Off To See The Wizard!

Happy Birthday, Dr.Seuss!

Room 31 Families,

Valencia Road is currently unsafe for traveling so we will be conducting our learning in an alternate location.  We  have temporarily moved our learning to Cabrillo College.  We will be in room 205D (building 200-right above parking lot A/B) until the road is deemed safe.  Thank you in advance for your support and patience during this time of change.  I want to assure you we are doing everything in our power to make this a smooth transition for all our students.
