MATH: Students are mastering multiplication and division strategies. Five minutes of practice daily is all it takes!  Support at home with this will enhance your child's success in math, especially since math concepts in 4th grade become more abstract.

 

CA HISTORY: Our non-fiction units in Reading will cover California History, beginning with Native Americans through California becoming the 31st state. Sacramento, here we come! Students will strive each goal period to reach our AR goals.

 

WRITING: We will become masterful writers focusing on three genres: (1) Narrative;

(2) Informational / Explanatory; and (3) Opinion. Students are working on perfecting their writing techniques using Wordly Wise, Lexia, and writing graphic organizers in class.  Students will use Google tools including: Classroom, Drive, and Docs on their chromebooks.

 

SCIENCE: Weekly Science instruction starts in fourth grade.  Talk to your child about what’s happening during the 2.5 hours of weekly Science!

 

FIELD TRIPS: With our “Watershed” theme, watch for upcoming field trips!  Please let us know if you would like to chaperone asap so your child can experience the planned adventures!
