Transitional Kinder
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) services as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, giving children more time for hands-on, interactive learning. TK allows your five year olds to start their learning experience with children their own age and with a curriculum that is tailored to their needs. TK focuses on important social, emotional academic skills that will help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Lessons are based on the California Preschool Curriculum Framework and the California Preschool Learning Foundations. Four and five year olds learn best in small, adult-directed groups. The teacher, classroom aide, and parent volunteers support and encourage children to learn at their own pace.
